Abstract
Prof. R. A. Ulyanovsky, D. Sc. (Econ.), was born in 1904. He graduated from the Institute of Oriental Studies to become an eminent Soviet expert on international affairs. He has had over 200 works published, including a number of books, many of which have been translated into European and Oriental languages. His works worthy of particular mention include (in English), "The Dollar in Asia", "US Neo-Colonial Policy", "Socialism and the Newly Independent Nations", "National Liberation", "Present-Day Problems in Asia and Africa", "Fighters for National Liberation".
The present book is a sort of political-economic summary of research into India's agrarian system between the two world wars.
