Abstract

First published in 1932, Marx's 'Paris Manuscripts' of 1844 are of supreme importance in understanding the development of Marxism. It was here that Marx brought together for the first time his philosophic, economic and political insights, on the basis of his profound analysis of human 'estrangement' and 'the alienation of labour'.
