THE VENETIANS IN ATHENS 1687-1688 FROM THE ISTORIA OF CRISTOFORO IVANOVICH

Abstract

With this volume the American School of Classical Studies at Athens initiates a series of publications which will appear under the general title of Gennadeion Monographs. These monographs will be devoted to the publication of the rich source material in the Gennadeion Library and to general studies in related fields. It may be expected, therefore, that most volumes of the series will be concerned with various problems of Byzantine, mediaeval, and modern times. For the convenience of the reader the format has been reduced somewhat in size from that of most of the other scientific publications of the School. Succeeding volumes will appear in the same size unless some change is necessary for the proper presentation of exceptional material.
