Abstract

This textbook defines the field of immunopharmacology by describing the mechanisms involved in the formation, release and subsequent actions of the chemical mediators of inflammatory and immune responses. This second edition has been revised and updated with the addition of seven new chapters on interleukin 1, interleuken 2, gold, chloroquine, immunosuppresive, neural mechanisms in the inflammation, and the vascular endothelial cell. It should be of use both to final year undergraduates and to postgraduate pharmacologists.
